Mission

Allegra Dance was founded by Stephanie Misson in 2015. It began as a small group of dancers who wanted to keep their passion for dance and technique alive and quickly became a connected community of dancers. Community is the foundation of the company.  For Stephanie, the motivation to dance and build the Allegra Dance community came from a tangible reality that everyday is a gift. She wanted to build this community to share that motivation. After losing her Mom to Breast Cancer, in early 2015, she was convinced there was no time to waste. Starting Allegra Dance was a perfect way to honor her Mother, who was a passionate lover of music, dance, & live performance. Within the first year the community put on its first show called, “The Journey” which was also a Cancer Research Benefit Concert. “The Journey” was the ideal performance debut, as it took the audience through the emotions one might experience when facing cancer, or watching a loved one fight cancer. It is a performance filled with expression, healing & hope. Since then, Allegra Dancers continue their pursuit of dance as a way to live each day fully and continue building the community.

Dance With Purpose

Allegra Dance Concerts provide company members the enjoyment of performance and audience members viewing inspiration. We also dance with the purpose of raising funds in to donate to a chosen Cancer Research organization. Companies previously donated to are preventcancer.org and endkidscancer.org. Additionally, Allegra Dance Concert aspire to bring a message of love, hope, and faith to its audience members. We seek to inspire each individual to live their unique purpose more fully.
